Shade and shelter at Sefton

Sefton Primary School in North Canterbruy needed a suitable shade and shelter solution for the main block. North facing, the main block has a large glass frontage and a small buytl roofed canopy, which provided little to no weather protection for staff and students.

The school wanted to extend the canopy to cover the asphalt, as well as provide protection along the length of two separate patios and ramps, which the classroom doors open out onto. With the addition of an Archgola, the entrance to these classrooms is now sheltered from rain and direct sunlight, providing suitable outdoor seating for pupils in all weather.

An enhancement to the school

“Sefton School is really pleased with the new archgolas that were installed over the summer holidays. There have been multiple comments on how good they look and how much of an enhancement they are for the school. The school is now able to use the shaded areas in front of the classrooms for outside activities, for morning tea and lunch breaks and have the whole school seated in the shade which is a great bonus on hot North Canterbury days.
