Product / Material
All Archgola canopies are made from New Zealand’s premium polycarbonate, which provides 99.9% protection from harmful UV rays. There are also a number of tint options to choose from, which enable you to match the colour of your home as well as decide how much light and UV you would like to let in.
Archgolas are manufactured right here in New Zealand from top quality New Zealand steel. This steel is then powder coated to provide a top quality finish and protection from the elements, providing you with a premium product that is renowned for its superior steel strength, longevity and attractive finish.
Archgolas provide year-round protection in all types of weather. To provide shelter from rain, we use flashings that make our canopies as watertight as possible. For extra protection, you can add side walls or Ezi-Guide curtains to your Archgola. Talk to your local installer about these options.
Yes. Every canopy is structurally engineered and can be utilised in high to very high wind zones.
Archgola frames are made from super strength, New Zealand sourced steel and the galvanised tubular frame is built to last. This makes them top quality and durable, plus they come with our 5 year warranty.
Your choice of roofing is critical as different shades offer different combinations of heat and light penetration. For example the bronze Suntuf tint provides a warm light area with 68% of heat transferred and 43% of light. For a cooler feel, the Suntuf Solar Grey tint allows 38% of heat to be transferred and up to 25% of light. Make sure you are shown roofing samples and then seek advice from your local Archgola licensed installers on their points of difference.
Installation
Archgola structures are designed in conjunction with a Chartered Professional Engineer. With the recent additions made to the New Zealand building consent exemptions, a residential canopy up to 30sqm or a residential carport up to 40m2 may not require a local council building consent. For structures greater than this, your local Archgola licensee can provide expert advice and help you manage the process for you so it’s hassle free.
Recent changes to the Building Act means that a carport up to 40 square meters in floor area, under certain circumstances, may not require a building consent.
Depending on the size, our experienced installers can install an Archgola within a day.
We recommend you use a mild detergent and water with a soft sponge or brush and ensure the whole structure, including powder coated surfaces are thoroughly rinsed.
