Cambridge Perry Aquatic Centre
Cambridge has a new aquatic centre. The Perry Aquatic Centre, Puna Kaukau O Te Oko Horoi, is a Waipa District Council property and was opened in May 2021. It consists of an indoor 25m x 25m pool, a learner/hydrotherapy pool, spa pool, sauna, tots pools and splash pad. The outdoor 50m pool has been upgraded for summer use. Archgola were contacted to create a shaded picnic area for visitors and swimmers to use.

Following sign off of design and Council consents, plus COVID lockdown delays, the Archgola team moved on site on the 25th November 2021 to deconstruct an existing structure and being the process of building a 120m2 size free standing canopy.
The client selected Matt Black with Solar Grey roofing for the project, which will provide 99.9% UV ray protection and 65% heat reduction.
